Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Community Area Manager: Moving forward with Wootton Bassett and Cricklade

Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Community Area Manager: Moving forward with Wootton Bassett and Cricklade.

This has been quite a week! On Monday we met with a group of people interested in getting involved in a new social media web site for our community of Wootton Bassett and Cricklade (and surrounding areas).
After a super debate and a presentation from the young foundation, the group agreed to move from a static web site to a live conversation forum. We named it Croft Conversations, and we hope it can become live in the next few weeks, so that we can start local conversations about things that matter to people – the new train station might be one – you interested in a train station back in Wootton Bassett?
On Tuesday we met with an advocacy service to plan some meetings with service users, we hope to find out how the Area Board can help them have their say in the decisions the Board makes and that they have all the information and help to be able to do this.
On Wednesday it was our Area Board in Cricklade and we had a vote on a new community planning initiative – 100% of the people agreed to move this forward – thats people power! Watch this space for more information or get in touch.
