Cricklade ‘s St Sampson’s Infant School plan to change their status to become a foundation School.

The Governing Bodies of Longleaze Primary School, Lyneham Primary School, Noremarsh Community Junior School and St. Sampson’s Infant School are jointly considering becoming foundation schools and acquiring a Trust whose proposed name is The North Wiltshire Learning Trust. This is a new type of trust being a mutual schools co-operative membership trust, which is the fastest growing type of trust school nationally.
The scheme will encourage schools to “pool resources to benefit staff and students” and should give them greater bargaining power in their negotiations with suppliers of goods.
