Cricklade Bloomers The Royal Horticultural Society Britain In Bloom Champions are to lose their headquarters and garden based at the rear of LloydsTsb Bank in Cricklade.

The Landowner (not the Bank) has given Bloomers 28 days to vacate the garden.
We are aware that the owner has applied for planning permission to build a house on the land and believe this is the reason our lease is to be terminated.
Whilst we have spoken to the owner’s solicitors with a view to getting more time to vacate the garden, an emergency committee meeting was held yesterday (Sunday) to draw up contingency plans.
In the short term we will cease all operations and are appealing to anyone in Cricklade that could offer storage for large items of equipment to contact us.
We also need help to move all of our fixtures and fittings from the garden.
In the long term we are looking for a suitable site in the Town to continue our valuable volunteer work looking after the floral displays in Cricklade.
The theatre event on 26th July in the garden will go ahead at a venue to be advised
We appeal for anyone who can help in any way to contact

John 01793750404 / 07813818848
The volunteer members are devastated by the news but resolved to ‘keep on blooming’ to make Cricklade the special place that it is.
