Vice Chair Vicky McIntosh OBE. recognised for fund raising efforts to save the Cricklade Jenner Hall

Cricklade-Jenenr-Hall-award-300x225Vicky McIntosh OBE, Vice Chair of the Cricklade Jenner Hall Community Trust in Cricklade, was recognised by Community First for her role in raising almost £200,000 to pay for various improvements at the hall, the most significant of which was £169,000 to replace its roof.

Grants amounting to more than £100,000 from Hills Waste Solutions and the SITA Trust came through the Landfill Communities Fund, which was created in 1996 to enhance community leisure and recreation facilities.
A further grant of £5,000 towards the project had been awarded by the Royal Wootton Bassett & Cricklade Area Board.
At a ceremony in Devizes Town Hall last Wednesday, Vicky was presented with her award for best community project by Sarah Troughton, President of Community First and HM Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire.
Many congratulations to Vicky for her well-deserved award.
