Over the past 18 days, there has been four house burglaries which have been reported to us in the Cricklade area. Although some suspects have been arrested in connection with all four burglaries, the crimes are still being actively investigated by the Priority Crime Team from Swindon Gablecross Police station. If anyone has any information which can assist officers with their ongoing enquiries, please either contact us on 101 or you can make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Can we ask the local residents of Cricklade to remain extra vigilant over the next few weeks and to report any suspicious activity to us by telephone – 101 non-emergency or 999 for an emergency.

Appeal for public’s help in finding missing Cricklade man.

Royston Fletcher, 66, (DOB: 14/05/1947), was last seen at Upper Chelworth Farm, Chelworth Road, Cricklade, on Monday 8th July 2013 at approximately 9am.
Mr Fletcher is described as white, with shoulder length white hair, cleanly shaven, approximately 5ft 8ins tall and of a thin build. He normally wears a white or red baseball cap, blue jeans and white trainers.
Anyone with information regarding Mr Fletcher’s whereabouts is asked to contact Wiltshire Police immediately on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.

Wiltshire PoliceWiltshire Police is appealing for information following a spate of burglaries in Cricklade and Purton.
In the last few weeks alone, there have been six reported dwelling burglaries within the two locations as a result of which a large amount of high value items have been stolen.
Property taken included; a silver Apple laptop, Samsung notebook, Medion notebook, Toshiba 15’’ black laptop, cameras, white ipod, Cannon EOS 7 D black camera, Playstaion 3 320 GB-slim, boxed JVC video camera, green Karrimor rucksack and a large number of items of jewellery. Continue reading
