Cricklade Husting Meeting Tuesday April 14th – All candidates for North Wiltshire are attending

Cricklade, Latton, Leigh and Ashton Keynes Churches Together have arranged a hustings meeting on Tuesday 14th April in Cricklade United Church at 7.30pm. All candidates in the forthcoming parliamentary election are attending.
Anyone can attend, should be an interesting evening.

Cricklade Town Council Election Result – Peter Colmer elected.

The following results were announced by the Wiltshire Deputy Returning Officer, Caroline Rudland at the end of the Count for the election  held on November 6th. 2014, following a vacancy on Cricklade Town Council..

The Total Votes cast were 660. The turnout was 19.77%

Peter Colmer received 349 votes. John Harmer 311 . Peter Colmer was duly elected as a councillor for the Cricklade Town Council .

Peter Colmer returns to public life following a period out of public life, recovering from major spinal surgery. He did not attend the count and was nor available for comment.

 

Cricklade Art Group prepares for the Summer Exhibition at Festival Week 14/15th. June

Artists are now busy preparing for their next exhibition in the Cricklade Town Hall on 14^th and 15^th June, 2014, which takes place during the Cricklade Festival Week. The winter exhibition will be in the Town Hall on Saturday, 25^th and Sunday 26^th October. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Cricklade Town Council Election Result – John Nevill elected.

The following results were announced by the Wiltshire Deputy Returning Officer, Claire Shoesmith at the end of the Count for the election . The Total Votes cast were 646. The turnout was 19.39% John Nevill received 402 votes. Trevor Stinton 238 Votes not valid 6. John Nevill was duly elected as a councillor for the Cricklade Town Council .

Yes it’s true the “Cricklade Bugle” has been publishing its Online Community and Event Website for 4 years.
 Cricklade is a Saxon Town situated on the banks of the River Thames on the northern border of Wiltshire between Swindon and Cirencester close to the Roman Ermine Road.
The “Cricklade Bugle” has been supported by many Organisations – Talk about local website www/talkaboutlocal.org  /

Royal British Legion (RBL) Riders Branch visits Cricklade for a public PRESENTATION – Wednesday 19th February 2014 at The White Hart Hotel

 The Cricklade branch of the Royal British Legion is to hold a General Meeting on Wednesday 19^th February commencing at 7.15 pm in the White Hart Hotel  Cricklade (Members only).
This will be followed at 8pm by an open presentation by the RBL Riders Branch.

Cricklade Health Walkers beat their record on Friday the 13th.

A record number of the Cricklade Health Walkers congregated at the Cricklade Town Council Offices at a later time of 10.30 am. on Friday the 13th. December 2013. The Walk was led by Rose for an hours walk which included the millennium woods. The weather was white/ dark clouds with a possibility of rain.

Two bodies found by Cricklade Health Walkers- Police not involved !

On Friday morning on the 6th. December 2013 the Cricklade Health Walkers found on their circular walking route two bodies of dead Hedgehogs. One in the centre Thames Lane which had been run over and flattened. The other in the gutter of Westmill Lane .
